My firstborn turned five last month! Wow....when they said it would go fast, they were right. Not only does it go fast, it just gets faster and faster to the point where I looked at Kent the other night and said, " every five years, we should get a six month period where our kids do not age." I know that doesn't make a lot of sense but what I meant was that we should be reminded every so often just how fast it goes and take a time out to sit back and enjoy them. Well, time goes on and does get faster and we now have a five year birthday party under our belt. We had two parties to celebrate Will this year. The first was just family and it took place at our house with pizza, cupcakes and ice cream. The theme of the birthday weekend was Cars 2 and he received a lot of Cars themed gifts which was perfect! The second party was for four of his little friends. Kent, my dad and Kent's dad took the five boys to see Cars 2 followed by a Chick Fil A birthday lunch in the mall food court. It was a lot of fun! Will really had a blast! A highlight of the birthday weekend was that my parents were in town visiting us from Indiana.
