Joshua's Christmas Program- better late than never :)

We had a fun night at Josh's school Christmas program. He did a great job and showed a lot of enthusiasm with the songs and hand motions.  After the concert we were able to post with some fun backdrops for family pictures.

I'm a little bit behind :)  Will started second grade with Mrs. Easterly at Oklahoma Christian School.  Joshua started Pre-K at OCS with Mrs. Weber who happens to have been Kent's kindergarten teacher :)  We are excited about a great school year!

First Day of School Pics

School is officially back in session!  Will is now a first grader at Oklahoma Christian School and Josh is in three year old preschool at First Presbyterian.  The boys are excited and we are excited about watching them grow and learn new things.

This picture speaks volumes....we took Will to his first day and they had the parents stay to pray over the kids and Josh squeezed in next to Will as if he was starting first grade too.  So precious!  He loves his big brother.

William's Kindergarten Graduation

A couple of weeks ago we celebrated Will's completion of kindergarten at his kindergarten graduation ceremony at Oklahoma Christian School.  It was a fun night of watching all four kindergarten classes perform four songs and then each walk across the stage to receive their trophy and certificate from their principal and teacher.  A kindergarten graduation wouldn't be complete without a video presentation....that of course, made this very pregnant mama cry....more like almost sob.  

We are so blessed by the teachers and staff of OCS.  This past year was a great one for Will and we look forward to next year when he will be a FIRST GRADER and go to school all day!

Will's Field Trip to the Science Museum

One of the blessings of being a stay at home mom is that I get to go on school field trips.  Will just had his second one last week and it was to the Science Museum.  We had a fun time with his classmates and teachers.  I didn't take my good camera so was only able to get a few shots with my iPhone.

Will's Christmas Program

It was exciting to watch Will in his first Oklahoma Christian School program.  The kindergarten class sang four songs.  What a treat it is for this mama to watch her little one singing with his class in his Sunday best.  Love it!  

Will started out in the front row but was quickly moved to the back because of his height.  I am glad I was able to get some close up pictures of him in the front before he was moved.  Poor guy had really chapped lips :(

To my Kindergartner,

Today was your first day of kindergarten!  I am a proud mommy and so thankful for you and for this stage of your life.  Although it is easy for me to become sentimental about this next stage that you have entered, I am above all thankful, grateful, blessed and excited to see what God has in 

store for you this year.

This morning you put on a big boy outfit and your red backpack and you looked so grown up!  You walked quickly into the school and I could tell you were very excited to get in the building and get started!  Today was your first day as a student at Oklahoma Christian School (OCS) and it is so fun that you are going to the same school where your daddy went.  About 28 years ago (give or take), your daddy walked those same halls as he started his very first day of Kindergarten at OCS....

now it is your turn!  

I am so very proud of you, my sweet boy!  I am blessed to be your mama!  I am thrilled to watch you meet new friends and get to know your teacher. I am excited about your upcoming school events, sporting events, field trips, etc.  I know you will continue to spread your wings more and more this year and in the years to come and even though I can't promise that it won't pull at my heartstrings a little bit to watch you take flight, I want you to know that I will be here for you, praying over you and encouraging you along the way!
