Reading List

I am currently reading/planning to read the following books. I keep an ongoing wish list on amazon of just books and it currently contains over 160 books!  Based on that, you would think I read a lot but I don't.  I have always enjoyed reading just can't seem to find the time to finish more than about one book a month!    

This is a great book!  I am only 2 chapters in but it has really helped me with some anxiety/fear issues I have had recently.  

Very excited about this new book from one of my favorites, David Platt. I am 2 chapters in.

This is a great book for mamas!  It is very encouraging and a good perspective for the sometimes crazy job of mothering!  I highly recommend it!

I'm about half way through this one.

The Power of Words

Thunderbirds

We went to the air show at Tinker Air Force Base last weekend with our friends, Ryan and Lori Veirs and their boys, Karsten and Kade.  It was our second time to see the Thunderbirds but Josh's first time since he was a baby last time they came.  The show is unbelievable!  Seriously….it is one of my favorite things!  I LOVE watching them perform!  It was a fun outing with friends!

Downton Abbey

If you haven't heard of Downton Abbey, it is a GREAT show!  Season 3 just started on PBS and it airs on Sunday nights.  I really love this show!  It is so good and also very clean which is quite refreshing.  I highly recommend that you check it out.  I know season one is available on Netflix and used to be at Redbox but I am not sure if it is currently there.

5 Senses

TOUCH:  This is all I could come up with...  other things from today include Will's super curly hair, Josh's baby soft skin and the fur of my sweet dog, Arie but those are hard to capture in a photo especially during nap time :)  

SIGHT:  I love my label maker and scrapbook paper.  I was headed to Hobby Lobby to buy glass jars for my baking items and found these jars that I had saved in my cabinet so this cost me nothing!  Yay for upcycling!  

TASTE:  Just a little boost in the middle of the day.  Since I don't drink coffee and am trying to quit soda, this is a good alternative....except they are a little pricy. 

SMELL:  Love this candle!  It is one of the only ones that doesn't give me a headache.  

SOUND:  Lady Antebellum station- love it!  After hours of listening to it, it now is a perfect mix of country and Christian songs!

Gelato

Ever since I visited Italy in 2001, I have been a big fan of gelato. I recently came across this brand at sunflower market and I am a big fan! It is so good!!!! I also got the coconut one too and it is also very good! I think it might be my new favorite frozen treat!

Best brownies!!!

Just in case you were wondering what brownie mix was the best.... These have my vote! You need to get a box and give them a try!

I thought I would share some of our favorite books with you.  These are our "go to" books and they are also my favorite ones to read to the boys.
