Last week Josh visited the dentist for the first time. He did a super job and was really brave! I took a few pictures to document the moment :)

Will lost a tooth!
About two weeks ago, I was brushing Will's teeth when I noticed something strange in his mouth. He had an adult tooth growing in behind his baby teeth on the bottom and he hadn't lost his first tooth yet and they weren't even loose. I was a little shocked! We looked it up online and it is pretty common I guess and is called "shark teeth." The pictures below show the shark tooth, Will with his tooth pillow after he got his tooth pulled out, and what his mouth looks like now. The dentist had to pull out his baby tooth to make room for the adult tooth. The adult tooth is pushed back a little bit but will move its way forward to where it is supposed to be in his mouth. Will handled the whole thing really well and was really brave. Now we are having to deal with the whole "tooth fairy" situation :) Will slept with his tooth in his tooth pillow and the next morning he woke up to find a dollar coin next to his tooth. We have decided to always tell our children the truth so when he asked if the tooth fairy was real, we told him that she wasn't and that we had put the coin in his pillow as a surprise. He seemed to handle that well but now he is saying that all his friends are saying that the tooth fairy is real and if you do not believe in her, she will not come. I can only imagine these conversations on the pre k playground.
